Curatorial Projects
PACE Gallery was founded in 1998 by the Long Island Center of Photography (LICP). The
Parent and Child Education Program was established to encourage photographers and artists
within the Long Island community to present work dealing with parenting, child development,
education, and communications. I developed the program to encourage amateurs, people with
disabilities, seniors, and professionals to participate in this community outreach program.
Since the program’s inception, I have curated and LICP presented approximately 60 exhibitions
at the PACE facility.

Other Initiatives
In the fine tradition of Alfred Stieglitz and on behalf of the Long Island Center of Photography,
I established LICP’s Little Gallery program, which is open to Long Island-based artists, writers,
poets, and musicians. Since 2002, this group meets monthly at Hofstra University for the
purpose of providing participants with constructive criticism, review, and discussion of their art.

Images For The Millennium: A Long Island Focus on Photography was organized as a one-day
symposium on the latest trends in photographic theory, techniques, and technology with
exhibitions of the presenter’s work (curated by the Long Island Center of Photography) and
special presentations by participating organizations. This event was held at Nassau Community
College and the Omni Gallery located in Uniondale, NY in 1998.

On behalf of the Long Island Center of Photography, I collaborated with the Nassau County
Museum of Fine Art in Roslyn, NY to present a Retrospective Exhibition On The Photographic
Works Of Horst P. Horst,
a distinguished photographer who resided in Oyster Bay, NY.
This project was presented in 2002.
